A. Driggs Elementary School (DES) o Entire building is to be mitigated (test results are attached as Exhibit A). o The facility is a clear-span structure, allowing relatively straightforward system installation. o One provider recommended approximately 9-11 systems, but the actual number may vary by contractor based on system design and efficiency. B.Teton Middle School (TMS) o Mitigation is limited to areas testing = 4.0 pCi/L. Based on the most recent testing (see Exhibit B), 27 rooms require mitigation (down from 33 in prior testing). o Contractors should propose designs that address multiple rooms with minimal systems where feasible. C. Rendezvous Upper Elementary School (RUES) o Mitigation is limited to areas testing = 4.0 pCi/L. o Recent testing (see Exhibit C) identified 17 rooms, primarily in the building's newer addition. Proposal Requirements Each proposal must include the following: 1. A project plan detailing system design strategy and mitigation approach for each school (DES, TMS, and RUES). 2. A detailed cost estimate and timeline broken down by facility. 3. A statement confirming the contractor will meet all post-mitigation testing and performance standards (see Section V), including achieving radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L in all mitigated areas. 4. Proof of appropriate licensure, insurance, and certifications (see Section VI). 5. A testing and verification plan consistent (see Section V), including control (blank) tests, duplicate tests, and a description of who will perform post-mitigation testing. Teton County School District 401 ("District") is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for radon mitigation services at three school facilities: Driggs Elementary School (DES), Teton Middle School (TMS), and Rendezvous Upper Elementary School (RUES). The District has completed recent radon testing and seeks to move forward with mitigation during Summer 2025. Contractors must be licensed to perform radon mitigation in the State of Idaho. Contractors must carry a minimum general liability insurance of at least: $300,000 per occurrence. Contractors are mandated by the State of Idaho to carry workers' compensation insurance The coverage must be in place. Contractors should be certified through NRPP (National Radon Proficiency Program), preferably with experience in NSI/ AARST SGM-MFLB-2023 Soil Gas Mitigation Standards for Existing Multifamily, School, Commercial and Mixed-use Buildings.All mitigation work must follow AARST/NRPP protocols.
