Site work for a mixed-use development in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Roadway project including four (4) roadway sites in the Wolverine, Sukunka, Peace River and Valleyview locations within the District Municipality of Tumbler Ridge. The work for each area generally involves: Milling to remove the existing asphalt surface for the entire roadway Proof rolling the exposed base material to identify areas with excessive deflection Sub-cutting and disposing of approximately 100mm of the existing base gravel across the entire roadway Sub-cutting and disposing of an additional approximately 100mm of the existing base gravel in the areas where excessive deflection was identified Reinforcing the excessive deflection areas with triaxial geogrid Installing new base course material above the triaxial grid to bring the areas up to the road base grade elevation less the approximately 100mm sub-cut Preparing the Sub-Base surface with compaction equipment Installing approximately 100mm of new base course material and finishing it to the necessary lines, grades and compaction Proof rolling the final bas course surface, addressing any remaining deflection areas Installing 100mm of asphalt on the finish base course material The approximate major quantities for the project are: 22,000 m2 of asphalt milling 615 linear meters of concrete curb and gutter spot replacements 850 linear meters of concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk replacements Adjustment of 100 manhole/catchbasin structures Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca
