Renovation of a fire / police facility in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. RCMP requires the replacement of the existing conventional fire alarm system to new addressable type in RCMP detachment located at 315 Founders Street, Tumbler Ridge, BC. Work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited too: Replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new addressable system. This will include replacing of all existing fire alarm components with new and adding new devices where required and noted. Provision of all work and material for connection of new fire alarm system to a 3rd party monitoring company and for sending an alarm signal to the Fire Department to meet the requirements of CAN/ULC-S561. Existing conduits may be re-used but all existing wiring is to be replaced with new. New raceway and wiring installation to suit new devices. Provision of fire watch to meet National Fire Code requirements at anytime the building is occupied and the fire alarm system or part thereof is non-operational. Detailed work plan including a project schedule and phasing prior to start of the work. Provision of detailed shop drawings. Provision of all close out documents including as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manual. Provision of all required testing, verification and training services.
