Site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Batavia, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
Scope of work to be contracted directly with City of Batavia Citywide Housing Rehabilitation Program: 1. Contractor is to read the Lead-based Paint Risk Assessment Report prepared by Stohl Environmental dated March 18, 2025 2. Contractor shall provide interim control paint film stabilization of the following conditions noted in the report: a. Condition 2: Enclosed Porch Components (Window Sills/Casings, Walls, Ceiling and A-Side Trim Molding) b. Condition 3: Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 Closet Door Casings c. Condition 4: Bedroom 3 D-Side Window Casing d. Condition 6: Original Remaining B-Side Window Unit Components (Sashes/Trough/Jambs/Parting Beads) C. Paint film stabilization procedures 1. Remove all loose surface material through wet scraping or wet sanding 2. Wash with trisodium phosphate or equivalent detergents 3. Application of an appropriate primer 4. Application of topcoat paint from the same manufacturer 5. HEPA-vacuum the entire work area 6. Clearance dust samples to be collected by third party contracted with the City of Batavia Citywide House Rehabilitation Program upon completion of work D. Lead-safety of workers 1. Persons carrying out lead reduction activities must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to safety in the workplace.
