The rectifier/charger derives power from a utility AC source and supplies DC power to the inverter while simultaneously. Emergency - Upon failure of utility AC power, the critical AC load is supplied by the inverter, which without any switching obtains power from the battery. There shall be no interruption in power to the critical load upon failure or restoration of the utility AC source. Recharge - Upon restoration of utility AC power, after a utility AC power outage, the rectifier/charger shall automatically restart, walk-in, and gradually assume the inverter and battery recharge loads. 4 Bypass If the UPS must be taken out of service for maintenance or repair, or should the inverter overload capacity be exceeded, the static transfer switch shall perform a reverse transfer of the load from the inverter to the bypass source with no interruption in power to the critical AC load. 5 Computer hardware/software shall be "Year 2000" compliant. 2 Design Requirements - UPS Module Dual Input 1 Voltage: Input/output voltage specification of the UPS shall be: 2 Rectifier: Input 600 volts, three phase, 3 wire plus ground. 3 Bypass: Input 120/208 volts, three phase, 4 wire plus ground. 4 Output Load Capacity specified output load capacity of the UPS shall be 65kVA al 0.8 lagging power factor. 5 Field-Installable Power Upgrade: Selected systems shall be able to accept a field installed power upgrade to the next highest power rating without an increase in cabinet size, as follows: 1 *65 KVA UPS modules can be field upgraded to 75 KVA 3 Design Requirements - UPS Module Single Input. Voltage: Input/output voltage specification of the UPS shall be: 1 Input: 600 volts, three phase, 3 wire plus ground. 2 Output: 120/208 volts, three phase, 4 wire plus ground. 2 Output Load Capacity - Specified output load capacity of the UPS shall be 65 kVA at 0.8 lagging power factor. 3 Field-Installable Power Upgrade: Selected systems shall be able to accept a field-installed power upgrade to the next highest power rating without an increase in cabinet size, as follows: 1 *65 KVA UPS module can be field upgraded to 75 kVA. 4 Design Requirements - Matching battery Cabinet Battery Cells-Sealed, lead-acid, valve-regulated. Reserve Time - 28 minutes at full load, 0.8 power factor, with ambient temperature between 20 and 30 C. 3 Recharge Time To 95% capacity within ten (10) times discharge rate. 5 Performance Requirements Bids shall be accompanied by a security deposit as follows: Bid bond or certified cheque in an amount not less than 10 percent of the bid price.
