The Project generally involves evaluating the condition of 30 selected 6-, 8- and 10- inch diameter Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) sewer segments, approximately 7,800 linear feet, performing necessary open-trench point repairs prior to lining, and installing approximately 7,800 linear feet of Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) Liner. A representative of the Director of Public Works will publicly open and declare the aggregate bid of each bidder, using the Zoom virtual meeting platform, shortly after the filing deadline. Bidders must submit questions or requests for information concerning any part of this bid in writing to the City via website. The City will not respond to any communication or question submitted directly to City staff or City consultants. Submit questions via website no later than Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:00 am. The work to be done under this contract consists of, in general, but not limited to: preconstruction CCTV of 30 selected 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) segments (7,746 linear feet), point repairs to existing segments where recommended by the Contractor and agreed to by the Engineer, and installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner to all segments. This project also includes the reconnection of active sanitary sewer service laterals, reconstruction of active sanitary sewer service laterals, reinstatement of active sanitary sewer service laterals, removal and replacement of one sanitary sewer manhole, removal of one sanitary sewer flushing inlet and replacement with one sanitary sewer manhole, removal of rungs in applicable manholes, rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer manholes, and photographic inspection of existing sanitary sewer manholes. The work shall include, but not restricted to, clearing, grubbing, and removal of obstructions, laying and installing new pipe conduit for the sanitary sewer system; saw cutting; removal and/or abandonment of existing pipelines and manholes; pavement restoration; removal and restoration of existing curb and gutter, removal and restoration of existing median island landscape; cleaning and video inspection of existing sewer mains and service laterals; protection of existing utilities and appurtenances and such other items and details required by these Special Provisions, the Plans, and the Standard Specifications and the Standard Details.
