Site work and paving for a civil project in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work involves Mobilization, the removal of two existing cross pipes, roadway paving including 2600 tons of 4-inch minus aggregate in 8" loose lift, 2200 ton of DSA aggregate in 6" loose lift, installation of 15" cross pipes - 10 each, installation of 18" cross pipes - 3 each, Head/end walls for all cross pipes, installation of 5 French Mattresses comprised of 1000 tons of AASHTO #1 Aggregate and 5,400 square yards of woven fabric, also paved apron, permanent seeding and mulching and vegetation removal. The sealed bid must be marked "HANKIN'S POND ROAD PAVING." A certified check or bank draft payable to Wayne County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Commissioners for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Contract will be awarded to the bidder that submits the lowest Responsible bid on the base bid. If alternates are accepted, the bid will be awarded to the contractor submitting the lowest responsible bid total for the base bid plus the alternate. The decision to accept alternates lies solely with the Commissioners.
