Polk County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, is soliciting bids for the following: BID #25-494, Roadway Improvements for North Galloway Road at 10 th Street. The construction cost estimate for the project is $1,756,783. Furnish all labor, materials, supervision, and equipment necessary for Roadway Improvements for North Galloway Road at 10th Street in accordance with plan sheets and project manual outlined in the bid documents. Contractor must hold a valid State of Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC) or General Contractor (GC) license and should provide proof of current license(s) with their bid submittal. The Successful bidder must possess or purchase a Polk County Local Business Tax Receipt (f/k/a Business License) to do business with the County. A copy of such license or proof of purchase must be provided to the Procurement Division prior to award being made. Contractor must provide four (4) references from clients in which the bidder has successfully completed projects similar in scope as the prime bidder, within the past five (5) years. Each reference should include: Name of the client Address of the client Contact person to include: Phone number and email address Brief description of the project. Project address Date project completed. List of all subcontractors used for project. References should be submitted with the Bid or must be submitted by the apparent lowest responsive bidder within three (3) business days of request and prior to award. The County reserves the right to contact and verify all references provided. Percentage of Work: The prime contractor shall perform a minimum of 51% of all work contained within the scope of work as outlined in the bid documents and special conditions, with the exception of signalization. This percentage of work requirement does not include the furnishing of materials or equipment in the construction, if not installed by the primary contractor.
