Demolition and site work for a residential development in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The purpose of these specifications is to obtain services for the demolition of structure(s) located throughout 240 Winthrop Avenue New Haven CT. Structure and all other buildings within the description to be demolish. Removal of all debris and to be treated as acm's and related contaminant materials Job to be completed within 15 working days from awarded date Contractors must possess all valid licenses related to the demolition and hazardous materials Question & Clarification Deadline:June 11, 2025, 5:00pm Questions are submitted through electronically. The City will not respond to a Respondent's request(s) for oral interpretation and/or clarification of the Solicitation Specifications for any reason. The City will respond to a Respondent's written request(s) for interpretation and/or clarification of the Solicitation Specifications. Any written Inquiry for Clarification must be received seven (7) or more business days prior to the Closing Date. Any request received by the City after this deadline will not be given consideration. The term of the contract is one (1) year. All renewals will be at the sole discretion of the City and pursuant to the same terms and conditions. No contract shall be awarded to any contractor, if the entity, or any owner, officer or director thereof is delinquent in any tax or other financial obligation to the city, including, without limitation, a current or ongoing contract dispute concerning performance under an agreement with the municipal government if, in the opinion of the Corporation Counsel, the current or ongoing contract dispute is related to the requirements of the solicitation. The fact that any other entity of which the owner or principal of any contractor is an officer or director is delinquent in the payment of any tax or other financial obligation to the city, shall be a negative factor in the selection or award of such contractor until such obligation is settled. The City will endeavor to award a contract for this Solicitation within one hundred and twenty (120) days after the date of the Solicitation opening. All Respondents acknowledge their Response submittal will be valid for the duration of the one hundred and twenty (120) days timeframe. The City reserves the right to separately Solicitation or secure pricing from additional contractors that may relate to the goods and/or services in the instant Solicitation, whether or not such goods and/or services are additional to the quantities stated in the instant Solicitation. The City of New Haven reserves the right to award one or more contracts as a result of this solicitation. The City will not award to any contractor who is ineligible under any of applicable regulations issued by the Secretary of Labor and United States Department of Labor. The City will not award to any contractor who is not qualified under applicable State and local laws and regulations. Without limiting the generalities of the foregoing, a contractor will be deemed ineligible if they are not current with any taxes or other outstanding obligations to the City of New Haven. Should a Contract be awarded, it will be awarded by the City to the lowest responsible qualified Respondent based on the lowest Base Bid. Description of Project: The purpose of these specifications is to obtain services for the demolition of structure(s) located throughout 240 Winthrop Avenue New Haven CT. The site is a former nursing home originally built in 1977 on 4.87 acres. Single story with 63,551 SF on first floor. Scope of Services: The contractor shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, including all required environmental services and programs, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and services. Including utility and transportation services and performing and complete all work required for the demolition and removal of all structures as required under this contract. Detailed Demolition Specifications: All vendors should read the following pages thoroughly to gain a clear understanding of all requirements under this bid. When providing pricing, vendors must include all costs including demolition, permit fees, dumping fees, waste disposal costs or fees, when performing demolition services. All salvage materials resulting from work under this contract and located within the specified areas will become the property of the contractor. All building demolition work shall be completed within fifteen (15) days after the job has been given to the contractor unless permission is given by the City of New Haven. A request for final inspection of the demolition work must be submitted to the OBIE within three (3) days after the demolition is completed. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, including all required environmental services and programs, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and services. Including utility and transportation services and performing and complete all work required for the demolition and removal of all structures as required under this contract.
