Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Woodland Park, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the addition of a 353-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This project consists of a 353 square foot addition to the ground floor and 1st floor of the existing Early Childhood Center to enlarge the existing classrooms to meet proper area requirements. The scope of the work includes new foundations, two-story framed structure, power and data, lighting, new doors, windows, and exterior walls to match existing. All general contractors will be required to sign in at the Main Office and proceed to the meeting as directed. All bidders will be required to complete and return the Inspection of Site Form (part of the bid package). Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following categories, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27.1, et.seq.: C008 - General Construction C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions Bidders and subcontractors for each of the major branches of work specified in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 must be prequalified by the DPMC. Bidders shall submit a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification from the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) and Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts for the Bidder and for all subcontractors for whom DPMC prequalification is required. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check payable to Woodland Park Board of Education equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 The successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as specified. The Woodland Park Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive minor immaterial defects in any bid, or to award a lump sum contract, in accordance with applicable laws, including the requirements of the Public School Contracts Law at N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
