DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The City of South Daytona is seeking proposals for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to replace Lift Station #5 located at 635 Violet Street in South Daytona as identified in the accompanying Bid Manual. CONSTRUCT NEW WET WELL WITH SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS, NEW ODOR CONTROL, AND A BACKUP GENERATOR The scope of work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for the replacement of Lift Station #5 located at 635 Violet Street in South Daytona as required by the Specifications and as shown on the Drawings. Work includes the demolition of the existing lift station, installation of a new wet well with three (3) submersible pumps and one (1) mixer, emergency generator, odor control, new electrical system and associated improvements. Pump, mixer and permanent bypass pump equipment will be provided by the City. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary local building permits. The Contractor shall perform and complete the work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Engineer, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the Work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted, and shall do all Work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the Work.
