Renovation of a municipal facility in Sumter, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The scope of this project is to repair and renovate B1102 facility supporting AFCENT (9th AF) HQ Operations. The facility's original, and new addition will have reinforced concrete foundation/floor slab, structural steel frame, split faced CMU block or precast concrete exterior, standing seam metal roof, fire detection/protection, minor security enhancements, utilities improvements, landscaping, GCS concrete pad, communications rework, ICD 705 compliant space, and all other necessary support for a complete and usable HQ facility. Approximately 80% of the existing three-story structure will be renovated. The existing structure is approximately 26,800 SF of double loaded office facilities. B1102 includes an ICD 705 area and infrastructure support space. The 1971-era building has been modified several times but does not currently reflect current usage and requirements. Infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, and data/comm systems is also inadequate and poorly distributed. Work includes addition of a new three-story restroom tower adjacent to the primary personnel entry, approximately 700 SF per floor. This project will include all inspection, investigation, design and construction services, materials, equipment, tools, labor, supervision, processes and procedures necessary for indicated work.
