Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Steger, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Bids are invited from Qualified General Contractors and Demolition Contractors for the Parkview School Building and Site Demolition at 100 Richton Road, Steger, Illinois. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition and removal of a 1-story building and site improvements; removing below-grade construction; disconnecting, capping, or sealing, and removing site utilities; removing trees and tree stumps; and site restoration. The Contractor is to implement a stormwater pollution and prevention plan (SWPPP) as required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction and will be required to coordinate work with all utility companies and the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Refer to the Drawings and Project Manual for the full extent of the Work. The demolition of the existing building includes asbestos abatement in the interior and exterior of the building that will be completed in phases under the direction of a licensed Asbestos Project Manager and will follow all state and local requirements for the removal and disposal of asbestos.
