Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Farmville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a retail development; for the demolition of a retail development; for the construction of a retail development; for site work for a retail development; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Demolition and Construction - Worsham Convenience Site Scope of Work: Demolition and disposal of existing facilities located at Worsham Convenience Site, as well as construction of a new convenience site facility at the same location. Construction shall include, but not be limited to grading, minor clearing, site preparation, drainage and stormwater facilities, wastewater runoff collection and storage (leachate drains & tank). Also to include entrance reconstruction at County Shop Road, heavy duty asphalt and concrete pavement construction for dumpster/compactor pads, drive aisles and parking areas, curb & gutter, bumper blocks and ancillary site improvements. Work to complete the construction will require erosion and sediment control measures, pavement markings and miscellaneous roadway signing, installation of chain link privacy fencing and gate(s), landscaping, seeding, and site stabilization measures. The Contractor will also be responsible for quality control (QC) materials testing, construction survey and various ancillary items required to construct the public waste convenience site. SCOPE OF WORK AND SPECIFICATIONS Prince Edward County is soliciting bids from experienced contractors for the following: Demolition & Reconstruction of Worsham Convenience Site - as outlined below and detailed in Atiachments A, B & C o Demolition and disposal of existing facilities located at Worsham Convenience Site o Grading, minor clearing, and site preparation o Drainage and stormwater facilities o Wastewater runoff collection and storage (leachate drains & tank) o Entrance reconstruction at County Shop Road o Heavy duty asphalt and concrete pavement construction for dumpster/compactor pads, atiendant building pad, drive aisles and parking areas o Curb & gutier, bumper blocks and ancillary site improvements o Erosion and sediment control measures o Pavement markings and miscellaneous roadway signing o Installation of chain link privacy fencing and gate(s) o Landscaping, seeding, and site stabilization measures o Materials testing, construction survey and various ancillary items required to construct the public waste convenience site o Site to be constructed for public and heavy vehicle access, as such it is the intent of this contract that the site be constructed consistent with public roadway facilities, pursuant to and as per the current versions of the VDOT Road and Bridge Standards and VDOT Specifications.All inquiries for information should be directed to the Countys Engineering Consultant, Nick Soucie, Timmons Group, at 804-200-6431 (office) or nick.soucie@Ommons.com.
