Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Union, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project site is located at 2085 Brilliance Ave, Union KY, 41091. The bid is to furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, machinery, warranties, and all other items required to meet the plans and specifications. Work to include, but not limited to: Interior and exterior concrete, brick and stone masonry, structural steel framing, interior finishes, 60 mil rubber roofing, aluminum doors/windows, Electric, Plumbing, HVAC, low voltage access control, security systems, casework, earthwork, plantings, landscaping, site clearing, grading, asphalt paving, playground equipment, splashpad, exterior structural steel entry pavilion and stage needed to construct a new facility and park per the plans and specifications. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening. All provisions of the Kentucky Revised Code as it relates to bid guaranty's conditions, liabilities, and withdrawal of a bid are applicable to this contract. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable. The owner also reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The information for bidders is instructions for the submittal of bids for the project that are in addition and shall include those as indicated in the advertisement for bids. Each bid shall be signed by the full name and business address of each person or company (authorized to do business in the State of Kentucky) submitting the bid. Bids must be made on the blank forms or copies of the blank forms furnished by the Architect in the contract documents. The bids shall be sealed in an envelope labeled with the bidder's name and address and the project name "Union Town Square, Park and City Building". The party to whom the contract is awarded will be required to execute the contract and obtain the performance bond, and payment bond, within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date when notice of award is delivered to the bidder. The notice of award shall be accompanied by the necessary contract. A notice to proceed will be issued after receiving all requested documentation. Inasmuch that actual damages cannot be easily specified, bidder agrees to the payment of liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per day for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in the general conditions. The bidder is to agree with the terms and conditions of the standard documents and agrees to complete the standard documents listed in the index of standard documents and the supplemental general conditions as contained in these contract documents. Davis Bacon wage rates do not apply to this project. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over the project shall apply to the contract throughout. If any bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the contract documents, he may submit to Summit Architects + Engineers, Teresa Hargett-Brooks, tbrooks@summit-ae.com for a clarification. Clarification of the documents will be made by addendum to all parties on the bidders list by mail. All request for clarification need to be made no later than two (2) days prior to the bid opening. The Architect reserves the right not to respond to request for clarification received after that date. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the owner, and/or to reject any or all bids. If a contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest and best responsible bidder. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
