Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Roseland, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid 1. Site modifications. 2. Site utilities modifications. 3. Interior Renovation of the existing community room, kitchen and vestibule. 4. Exterior addition of a new covered terrace with an accessible ramp. 5. New trash enclosure. 6. Structural modifications. 7. Associated Mechanical work. 8. Associated Plumbing work. 9. Associated fire sprinkler work. 10. Associated Electrical work Principal items of work in the project include: 1. Selective demolition of site curbs, concrete walks, paving, utilities, and associated work. 2. Provide and install new curbs, concrete walkways, and asphalt paving. 3. Provide modifications to identified site utilities impacted by the new work. 4. Selective demolition of interior and exterior building components, including interior walls, ceilings and floor finishes to accommodate the new work. 5. Demolition of selective plumbing fixtures. 6. Selective removal and termination of existing plumbing/heating pipes. 7. Removal , relocation and new building systems components as required for a complete project. 8. Demolition of existing selective windows. 9. Demolition of selective doors and frames. 10. Demolition of existing finishes. 11. Demolition of selective masonry units. 12. Provide and install new finishes. 13. Provide and install new Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems as required including all related work. 14. Provide and install new fire alarm system and fire sprinklers as required. 15. Provide and install new walls, floors, and ceiling finishes and fixtures. 16. Provide and install new furnishings and equipment and connect to power and data as required. 17. Provide and install all utilities, systems, fixtures, furnishings, equipment, etc. as required for a complete project. 18. Provide and install new windows as well as new doors and frames. 19. Dispose of all removed and demolished material. 20. Remove and dispose of all hazardous and asbestos containing material. 21. Repair and refinishing of all affected and damaged substrates, and wall finishes. 22. Provide and install new window treatments at exterior windows. 23. Provide and install a new electric fireplace. 24. Provide and install new light fixtures. 25. Provide and install new security system, including security cameras compatible with existing systems and building components. 26. Provide and install metal gates, steel bollards, and masonry for a new trash enclosure. 27. Provide and install a new roof structure for the covered terrace, including all roofing, flashings, gutters, downspouts and associated components for a complete project. bid notes: Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the BOROUGH OF ROSELAND - MUNICIPAL BUILDING AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Unless otherwise permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3, all bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner and Bidder may agree to hold bids for consideration for a longer period of time, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10, or other applicable law; to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from Back the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms furnished with the contract documents, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. The work contemplated under this Contract shall be fully completed by December 15, 2025 In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships and limited liability companies must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25- 24.2, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders.
