This project includes the design and specification of structural repairs and upgrades for a two-story office metal building and warehouse. Key improvements involve repairing the roof structure, stairs, canopy, and column bases, along with new structural framing for fan replacements, signage installation, and full siding replacement. Wind load calculations will assist in selecting a Florida approved metal roofing system. Facility upgrades include replacing west-facing wall fans with building panels, installing large fans for improved ventilation, and upgrading interior and warehouse lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures, ensuring proper illumination. Additional enhancements include new roll-up doors, tenant and building signage, and an assessment of the second floor awning for necessary repairs or replacements. To improve durability and aesthetics, staircase supports will be painted, and office doors and hardware will be replaced. Electrical upgrades will include designing a future replacement for the standby generator with a higher-capacity unit and a new automatic transfer switch. The warehouse/shop area will receive new ceiling fans, requiring a specified electrical power supply. As-built drawings for lighting and power distribution will document completed electrical work. This comprehensive scope of work aims to improve the facility's structural integrity, energy efficiency, and overall functionality, ensuring a modernized and efficient environment for occupants.
