Renovation of an educational facility in Hamel, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Electronic Access Control Upgrade Work All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked as "EDWARDSVILLE CUSD #7 ELECTRONIC ACCESS CONTROL UPGRADE WORK" with the name of the Bidder and date/time of the Bid Opening. Bids received after stated time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors are not required to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting. All attendees will meet at the main entrance. The meeting will consist of a general discussion of the project and bidding requirements as well as a walk of the area(s) where the Scope of Work is occurring. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Project Owner (Board of Education - District #7) in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany the Bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, execute the contract and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, they shall forfeit the deposit or amount of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or error on the part of the Bidder shall excuse the Bidder or entitle them to a return of the deposit or Bid Bond. The Board of Education Edwardsville CUSD #7 reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding process, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
