The Bellingham Housing Authority (BHA) is seeking proposals from qualified General Contractors (GCs) to provide construction services for the Unity Street Redevelopment project. This project will be developed, owned, and operated by Ubuntu Housing Partners LLLP; an instrumentality of BHA established exclusively for the purpose of this project. The selected General Contractor will provide comprehensive preconstruction services throughout the design phase, after which Ubuntu Housing Partners LLLP intends to enter a negotiated construction contract with the selected firm. The General Contractor will then be responsible for executing the construction of a new affordable housing development located at 202 Unity Street in Bellingham, Washington. This property, previously home to BHA's administrative office, is situated on a 0.52-acre parcel at the intersection of Unity and Flora Streets. The new development will serve households earning at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI) All questions must be submitted through Housing Agency Marketplace by end of day June 18, 2025. Questions received prior to the applicable deadline will be responded to through addenda issued no later than end of day June 23, 2025. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
