The work covered under this contract includes the replacement of approximately 580 linear feet of 18-inch gravity sewerlines with new 24-inch gravity sewerlines. The work is located within two private lots and crosses Waiehu Beach Road in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii. The work also includes furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment required for the installation ofthe new gravity sewerlines, manholes, and restoration of all disturbed areas. Bidders must be qualified in compliance with Section 1O3D-31O of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance to Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractors. The Contractor, and his subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions ofthe law relative to the Prevailing Wage Schedule, as required under Chapter 104, HRS. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: cash, a cashier's check, a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the County of Maui in the manner, form, and amount required in Section 103D-323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total ofthe bid submitted. Bidders must correctly prepare and submit the documents listed in Section 00300, Proposal. Work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to replace the existing 18-inch gravity sewerline with a 24-inch PVC gravity sewerline. This includes the following components: - Remove and dispose the existing 18-inch gravity sewerline and install a new 24- inch gravity sewerline (PVC) including replacing three sewer manholes. - Connect existing or sewerlines and sewer laterals to the new gravity sewerline. - Inspection of reinforced concrete collar installation, protective coating testing, and inflow dish installation. - CCTV inspection of new gravity sewerline and laterals. - Restoration ofsurrounding area to the original condition or better. It is between $2.5M to $3.5M. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
