Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in York New Salem, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
New Salem Borough Council hereby authorizes James R. Holley & Associates, Inc. to act on their behalf by opening bids. Bids will be considered and contracts awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of Borough Council based on the recommendation of the Engineer. Work shall consist of, but not be limited to, the reclamation of a portion of Robin Hood Drive and Palmer Avenue, including some concrete curb replacement. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 as amended. Wage rates are included in the contract documents. A bid bond or certified check made payable to New Salem Borough in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany the sealed bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Each bidder shall be prepared to submit evidence of their qualifications to perform the work. Bid-Result:- 1. Proposal 1- Kinsley Construction-$69,958 2. Proposal 2- York Materials Group-$32,331 The Borough reserves the right, which is agreed and understood by all bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn by the bidder for 60 days after opening of bid proposals.
