It is the intent of this "RFP" to secure qualified contractor(s) to provide abatement services to the Public Works Department for the City of Danville on an "as-needed" basis as described in Section 3 Scope of Work. Multiple contracts may be awarded for this project. Prices will be requested from awarded Contractors as the need for services arises. This contract will be for one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods if mutually agreed upon. 2.1.1 The award will be made to the proposal conforming to the RFP and will be most advantageous to the City. Price, Technical recommendation, and other factors considered such as delivery time, quality, operating and maintenance cost, service, resale value, etc. 2.1.2 The City reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received. SCOPE OF WORK 3.1 Abatement services include, but are not limited to, weeds, illegal accumulation, oversized pile, water course, and encroachment. The following services are required: o Pick up and dispose of trash/litter/household debris o Dispose of lumber/construction debris, etc. o Dispose of appliances/other metal objects o Mow/bushhog grass/weeds o Cut and dispose of brush/vines/branches o Dispose of tires/wheels/etc. 3.2 Requirements - o Contractor will be required to follow directions to bring property into compliance with the City of Danville's ordinance. o Contractor will be responsible for disposal of all waste, debris, etc. removed from property. It must be disposed of in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations. Disposal tickets must be made available upon request for inspection. o Trees which are more than three (3) inches in diameter at the stump may be left standing, unless otherwise directed by a representative of the City. o Structures on the property will not be entered into or tampered with in any way. o The Contractor will hold harmless the City of Danville for damages to any structures, improvements or personal injuries incurred by his workers or their equipment. o Work shall be completed within seven (7) days of notification. Failure to complete work within this timeframe may cause the City to utilize other Contractors. o Upon completion of work, the Contractor shall schedule an inspection with the City's representative, before any payment is made for service preformed. The Contractor shall invoice for each location separately and provide before and after date stamped pictures. If the work is not approved by the City's representative, or the required paperwork is not completed, the Contractor shall forfeit claim to any payment and the City shall have work completed at the Contractor's expense. No payments shall be made to Contractor without pictures of work as proof that the job has been completed. o If the Contractor can show reasonable cause for not completing required work by the stated deadline, the contractor may request an extension in writing prior to the deadline. The City representative will approve or deny the extension and determine the length of the extension if approved. Unless otherwise specified all formal Proposals submitted shall be binding for sixty (60) calendar days following submission date. Project awarded to Farmers Consulting & Connecting LLC
