Question Deadline 06/25/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) is requesting Competitive Proposals to provide Design-Build Services for the Renovation of Twin Ridge and Hillcrest Elementary Schools. 1. See the schedule on the cover page for all critical dates for the selection process. 2. The Renovation must be designed and constructed to meet the FCPS Renovation guidelines for the Twin Ridge ES and Hillcrest Elementary Renovation Project (Attachment D). 3. The scope of work includes aspects of the design and construction for the Renovation guidelines. Specific work will be discussed within the design process. Major work that will disrupt instruction is to occur over two summer breaks. Our anticipation is that the first phase of the work will be ready for occupancy in August 2026, with the second phase of the work to be ready for occupancy in August 2027, including not only the interior renovation of the building, but also signage; security systems; computer network and integration; any landscaping and exterior features as required per the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) or approved site plan, interior design services, workstations, and other services or items reasonably expected and incidental to delivering an elementary school building ready for occupancy. Work that will not disrupt instruction could take place during the normal school year or other school breaks. 4. Excluded from the work scope are furniture and equipment, telephones, photocopiers, computers, printers, display boards, security cameras, and IT switches. 5. The tentative award date of this contract by the Board of Education is August 6, 2025.
