South Londonderry Township will receive bids for the Mt. Gretna Sewer Rehab Project. Bids may be submitted and updated onlineAt that time bids will be made available online. The work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, lining sewer pipe, replacement and repair of sewer pipe and manholes, brick chamber removal, and associated work at various locations along Timber Road. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10 percent of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Only those questions submitted online shall be considered. Questions received after 12:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025, regarding the project will not be acknowledged. South Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids. Project location: Timber Road: Oak Road to 312 Timber Road, as shown on the attached plan. This project will consist of a contract for lining approximately 2,950 LF of sewer pipe, replacement and repair of approximately 170 linear feet of sewer pipe, brick chamber removal, and associated work The contract shall include furnishing all labor, equipment, material, and appurtenances to complete all work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following, as identically numbered in the UNIT PRICE SCHEDULE: 1. Mobilization/Demobilization including Bonds and Insurances (1 LS) 2. Traffic Control (1 LS) 3. Clearing and grubbing, including tree removal, complete in place (1LS) 4. 6" PVC pipe including excavation, removal of existing pipe, connection to existing main, stone bedding, select backfill, connection to existing laterals, and lawn restoration, complete in place (80 LF) 5. 6" PVC lateral pipe (additional) including excavation, removal of existing pipe, full depth stone backfill, lawn restoration, and pavement restoration, complete in place (20 LF) 6. 8" PVC pipe including excavation, removal of existing pipe, connection to existing main and new manhole, stone bedding, select backfill, connection to existing laterals, and lawn restoration, complete in place (70 LF) 7. Brick Chamber Removal - Excavate, remove existing brick chamber, install pre-cast concrete manhole, frame and cover (Contractor to verify dimensions), stone bedding, select backfill, pavement restoration, and connection to new pipe, complete in place (1 EA) 8. Manhole slab, riser, frame and cover - Saw cut, excavate remove frame/cover, riser and top slab, furnish and install pre-cast top slab (4' x 4'), riser and manhole frame and cover totaling 18" depth, contractor to field verify dimensions and depth, pavement restoration, and lawn restoration, complete in place (2 EA) 9. Manhole Replacement - Excavate, remove existing brick manhole, install pre-cast concrete manhole, frame and cover (Contractor to verify dimensions), stone bedding, select backfill, pavement restoration, and connection to new pipe, complete in place (2 EA) 10. Manhole frame and cover - remove existing manhole frame and cover, install new manhole frame and cover, contractor to verify dimensions (1 EA) 11. Manhole Lid - furnish and install new 26" Dia.
