State Project Number 78LL0061 Cooling Replacement at Lino Lakes Minnesota Correctional Facility Scope of Work: The project scope involves replacing mechanical and electrical systems, including the rooftop unit at the segregation building and the air-cooled chiller system serving the Triad building. The Air-cooled chiller scope includes associated pumps, piping, accessories, and control valves. Minor structural work will also be performed at the Triad building. At the segregation building, the existing rooftop unit will be replaced with a similar variable air volume system featuring a DX cooling coil and a steam heating coil, without energy recovery. The new unit will be a standalone system with BACnet capability to allow for future integration into a building automation system. For the Triad building, the work includes a like-for-like replacement of the air-cooled chiller and secondary pumps, along with new piping, piping components, a chilled water buffer tank, and the upgrade of five existing pneumatic 3-way control valves to 2-way DDC control valves on the air handling units. The chiller replacement will also include new primary and secondary pumps, an air separator, expansion tank, buffer tank, chilled water piping, and DDC control valves for the air handling units located in the building's penthouse. Structural modifications will consist of a new outdoor concrete slab and the installation of a razor wire fence to enclose the chilled water buffer tank. Contractors are required to supply temporary rooftop units for the segregation building and a temporary chiller for the Triad building to maintain operations during construction. A.
