The Town of Mount Olive received two North Carolina Community Development Block Grant - Infrastructure (NC CDBGI) awards on May 27, 2025. The amount of funding is $65,000 and $2,892,000.00. The State Water Infrastructure Authority (SWIA) selected the Town of Mount Olive for funding by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Infrastructure (NCDEQ-DWI). The project consists of the rehabilitation or replacement of approximately 14,400 linear feet of existing 8" sewer lines. The Town of Mount Olive is soliciting qualifications for Engineering Services to assist in the engineering services, including developing a final engineering report, design and bid package services, and construction inspection services of the project in compliance with all applicable federal requirements and regulations under the CDBG program, once release of funds is received. Payment terms will be negotiated with the selected firm. The fee for professional engineering services will be paid with CDBG-I funds.
