Bids will be for the following: ITEM 1: Approximately 68,587.00 S.Y. Milling of Bituminous Pavement ITEM 2: Approximately 68,354.00 S.Y. Warm Mix Wearing Course, 9.5mm - 1.5" Depth in Place ITEM 3: Approximately 43.00 Ton Warm Mix Scratch & Leveling Course, 9.5mm - .75" Depth in Place ITEM 4: Approximately 416.00 S.Y. Warm Mix Base Course, 25mm - 5" Depth in Place Saw cut or milled paving notch required at limits of work/intersections with streets and/or alleys and non-curbed paved areas (parking lots and driveways). Tack coat required. Contractor to roll/taper newly installed blacktop pavement at junctures with public sidewalks to create handicapped accessible ramps. Contractor to roll/taper newly installed blacktop pavement at junctures with catchbasins and uncurbed driveways to create smooth transitions. PG 64-22 bituminous seal required on all abutting pavement and curbs. Incidental to paving work. A certified check or bid bond must accompany each proposal in the amount of 10% made payable to the municipality as a proposal guarantee which, it is understood, will be forfeited in case the contractor fails to comply with the requirements of the proposal. Prevailing Wages apply. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within fifteen (15) days after the contract is awarded. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Borough. Bidder must inspect the job with the Owner's Representative prior to submitting a Bid. The Borough of Bedford is tax exempt and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to decrease the scope of the work. All Paving Work Must Be Completed by Friday, September 26, 2025.
