The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: The construction of proposed transfer station scale house. Construction activities will include; Demolition operations, grading operations, concrete and asphalt paving operations, construction of scales and scale house, utility installation, and erosion measures. All questions or request for additional information must reference Bid No. and must be submitted by email no later than 10:00 am EST June 27, 2025 to purchase@paulding.gov. All questions and answers will be sent to all listed plan holders. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, for 100% of the contract amount, with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. Retainage (10%) is to be held until final acceptance of the project by Paulding County. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, "Bid No. 25039- 1701, Paulding County Transfer Station Scale House". If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address previously given. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
