As of August 28, 2025, project is awarded to Jackson Brothers Construction Services, LLC in the amount of $89,958.75. Description of Project - Work consists of Taconi Gym Window Replacement, Magnolia Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS, as shown on the Drawings and in accordance with these Specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by Cashier's or Certified Check of the bidder, or a bid bond accompanied with the form of bid bond attached herein, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Such checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three lowest bidders within three (3) days after the opening of bids, and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the Owner has made an award of contract, or if no award has been made within forty-five (45) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter, so long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. The undersigned agrees that the Owner may retain from this contract the sum indicated below from the amount of compensation to be paid him for each day after the above mentioned completion time, Sundays and Holidays included, that the work remains incomplete. This amount is agreed upon as the proper measure of the Liquidated Damage that the Owner will sustain per day, by failure of the undersigned to complete the contract, at the stipulated time, and is not to be construed, in any sense, as a penalty. LIQUIDATION DAMAGES PER DIEM: $250.00 per day The undersigned agrees, if awarded the contract, to execute and deliver to the Owner at the time the contract documents are executed, a performance bond and a materials and labor bond in a form acceptable to the Owner, and in an amount equal to the contract sum. Failure to submit this bond at the time of the contract, or contracts, will cause forfeiture of bid security as liquidated damages. The bid security attached in the sum of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid The City of Ocean Springs reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informality. Bids may be held by the City of Ocean Springs for the purpose of review for a period not to exceed Ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening.
