The City of Ocean Springs is seeking sealed bids for the maintenance and upkeep of certain public buildings and areas. A detailed location list is attached. The City intends to contract with qualified persons or firms to ensure the proper appearance, growth, and care of these grounds. The City requests bid proposals for Grounds Maintenance services for the following areas: 1. Hwy 90 Median: From Hwy 57 to the Ocean Springs/Biloxi Bay Bridge. 2. Hwy 90 Shoulders: North and south shoulders from the road to the back of the ditch, from Hwy 57 to the Ocean Springs/Biloxi Bay Bridge. 3. Hwy 57 West Shoulder: From the Highway Patrol Office to Hwy 90. 4. Zones: Zone A: Ocean Springs Rd. from Hwy 90 to Riley Rd. Zone B: Ocean Springs Rd. from Riley Rd. to Hwy 57. Zone C: Groveland Rd. from Deana Rd. to Ocean Springs Rd. Zone D: Hanshaw Rd. from Bienville Blvd. to Old Spanish Trail. Zone E: Government Street from Hanshaw Rd. to Ocean Springs Rd. Zone F: Hwy 90 Hotel Zone - from 701 Bienville Blvd. to the Fishing Pier Grounds maintenance shall include mowing, trimming, weed eating, edging, blowing, and other associated tasks at the specified locations. Maintenance of the Hwy 90 median shall also include Crepe Myrtle shoot trimming during each mowing. For any questions regarding electronic submission, please contact PH Bidding Group at 662-407-0193. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for services only. The contractor is responsible for providing the labor and equipment necessary to fulfill the contract. Bids must include all costs associated with providing labor, equipment, tools, vehicles, fuel, and materials necessary to perform the requested services. Bids should be presented as a cost per mowing. The contractor must perform this contract in a manner that maintains a healthy and attractive appearance of the grounds, keeping them free of debris and overgrowth that detracts from their overall appearance. All questions must be submitted in writing; telephone inquiries will not be considered. The service term shall be for one (1) year, beginning on the date of approval by the Board of Aldermen. The City, at its option, may extend the contract for additional years under the same terms and conditions. The City is NOT responsible for bids mailed to the wrong address or arriving after the designated bid opening time. Bids may be delivered in person to City Hall before the deadline. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the bidder's name, address, date and time of the bid opening, and the words "Request for Proposals - Grounds Maintenance Services 2025."
