Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Plainfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications. The work generally consists of removal of asphalt walkway and installation of concrete walkway, removal of existing playground, purchase and installation of new playground equipment. Proposals must be made on the Standard Proposal Forms in a manner designated in the contract documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the work on the outside, addressed to Cynthia Blake, Purchasing Agent City of Plainfield Division of Purchasing, 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, N.J. 07060 and must be accompanied by all items identified in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and a bid guarantee (Proposal Security) for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid except that the guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00. Prospective bidders are hereby notified that an original and one USB or three (3) copies with signatures of the entire bid package must be submitted to the City. Please be advised that State funds through the Green Acres Program are being utilized in this project. Under N.J.A.C. 7:1-5, vendors currently suspended, debarred, or disqualified are excluded from participation on this project. The City of Plainfield reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the City of Plainfield. Bidders are also required to comply with other provisions of Law including, but not limited to, the requirements of: o Executive Order #34 (1976) - Debarred Vendors o N.J.S.A. 52:25- 24.2 (P.L. 1977, c.33, Disclosure of Ownership) o N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (P.L. 2004, c.57, Business Registration) o N.J.S.A. 34.11-56.25, et. seq. (P.L. 1963, c.150, Prevailing Wages) o N.J.S.A. 34.11-56.48 (Public Works Contractor Registration) o N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action Compliance/EEO) o N.J.S.A. 52:32-55 (P.L. 2012, c.25, Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran) o 42 U.S.C. S121 01 et seq. Any explanation desired by bidders regarding the meaning or interpretation of the drawings and specifications must be requested to the ENGINEER in writing and with sufficient time allowed for a reply to reach them before the submission of their bids. Verbal explanations or instructions given before the award of the contract will not be binding. Any interpretation which may result in a substantial change in the Plans and/or Specifications and may have an effect on the prices bid therefore will be issued in the form of an addendum to all bidders, and its receipt by the bidder shall be acknowledged *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
