Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 13,743-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the addition of a 1,000-square-foot municipal facility.

- The Scope of this Project is to alter and renovate approximately 12,000 square feet of an existing emergency management operations center and construct a new 1,000 square foot addition located in Beach Haven, NJ. The renovation work will include replacing finishes through the building, while alterations will be made to construct new toilet room, meeting spaces, and accessory spaces. A new masonry and steel addition will be constructed providing elevator access, a second means of egress, and multi-user toilet rooms. The existing low slope roof and sloped shingle roofs will be removed and a new modified bituminous roofing system and standing steam metal roofs will be installed. The new addition and existing building will receive a new insulated rainscreen system clad with laminate panels. Plumbing fixtures, piping, venting, drainage and sanitary will be renovated throughout the entire building. The existing mechanical system in the building will be abandoned and removed to facilitate the installation of new air handling units, unit ventilators, rooftop units, ductwork, dehumidification systems, and piping to condition the entire building. The existing electrical system will be demolished and modified to provide new power and communications throughout the building, including a new generator, lighting, and fire alarm system. The building will be equipped with a new limited area fire suppression system. Many exterior improvements are included, such as new pavement and pavement markings, planters, concrete walks, signage, new breakaway flood panels, and new exterior access to the main level of the building through a new metal stair and platform, extension of water, sewer and stormwater facilities as well as underground electric services. Prospective Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the job site prior to submission of BID, to familiarize themselves with site conditions. Bids may be submitted by mail or in person at any time prior to the time for receiving and opening the same. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. A Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Borough of Beach Haven in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security, but not more than $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for the amount of the total bid within ten (10) days from the date of written acceptance of his proposal. Certificates of Insurance will also be required. The Borough of Beach Haven hereby reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof. The Borough further reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any or all bids submitted, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on the lowest Total Bid Amount and to make such awards or take such action as may be in the best interest of the Borough.
