The work under this contract shall include providing all Labor, material and equipment to remove and dispose of two (2) existing gas fired furnaces and furnish and install two (2) new gas fired furnaces; furnish and install a supplemental air conditioning system; remove and replace an existing ceiling fan including all ductwork, electrical and mechanical connections for a complete project as specified herein and shown on the contract drawings. Prospective Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the job site prior to submission of BID, to familiarize themselves with site conditions. Bids may be submitted by mail or in person at any time prior to the time for receiving and opening the same. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. A Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Borough of Beach Haven in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security, but not more than $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for the amount of the total bid within ten (10) days from the date of written acceptance of his proposal. Certificates of Insurance will also be required. The Borough of Beach Haven hereby reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof. The Borough further reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any or all bids submitted, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on the lowest Total Bid Amount and to make such awards or take such action as may be in the best interest of the Borough.
