The City of Muscatine and the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department are undertaking a renovation project for a spray pad located on the Muscatine Riverfront in the City of Muscatine city limits. Project Basic Scope of Work: Basic scope of work includes the replacement of the inner square surface of the spray pad with a solid concrete surface that eliminates the cavity beneath the existing pavers. Nozzles are to be replaced with new nozzles that address the maximum opening size required by state. Gaps at surface of spray pad are reduced or eliminated to accommodate opening size required by state. Sharp edges to be addressed, electrical bonding is to be brought to NEC requirements, spray pad lighting systems are to be abandoned, pump controls are to be modified to accommodate state's requirements. Ground fault protection and labeling of electrical panels are to be updated. The City of Muscatine and the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department are undertaking a renovation project for a spray pad located on the Muscatine Riverfront in the City of Muscatine city limits. Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to 100% of its contract price as a performance, payment, and maintenance bond on the project for a period of 2 years from and after acceptance of the work. Final completion of project must be attained by September 17, 2025. The City of Muscatine reserves the right to reject any and all quotes or to waive any informalities in the solicitation. Contractor shall prepare provided "Bidder Status Form" as required by Iowa Code.
