The building contains asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), including regulated asbestos-containing material (RACM), in addition to asbestos laden dust associated with historical asbestos manufacturing operations. Upon receipt of the Notice To Proceed, the selected bidder(s) will be responsible to notify the appropriate regulatory agencies via overnight delivery service such that the scope of work, including demobilization, is completed within 120 days of the Notice To Proceed. Bids may not be withdrawn or altered prior to this date The proposed scope of work will involve demolition of the building without removal of the ACMs (asphalt roofing materials, cementitious wall and ceiling panels) or pre-demolition cleanup of asbestos-laden dust. The site consists of adjoining structures with multiple construction dates, totaling approximately 80,000 square feet. The project will require significant dust suppression techniques to eliminate any visible dust emissions during demolition activities as the safety of surrounding residents and residential properties is critical. Bids will be accepted on the Work indicated in Base Bids with unit costs for additional work which may be requested. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
