Project No. 2401882, 9726863 The Work includes the following principal items: Rehabilitation of dual culverts. Total Contract Time for completion of the work is forty-five (45) calendar days. Liquidated damages for delay will be in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day that the project remains incomplete after the specified completion time. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on the contract as the prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material or supply needs. Bid Security: Each BIDDER must deposit with his BID, as Bid Security, a Bid Bond payable to the OWNER in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total amount Bid, but in no case more than $10,000.00. Contract Security: The Successful BIDDER will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds payable to the OWNER. Each bond shall be in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price as security for CONTRACTOR'S faithful performance and payment of all obligations under the Contract Documents. All contractors responding to this advertisement for bids must comply with all applicable requirements of Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, including, but not limited to, the requirements relative to holding a Certificate of Responsibility and payment of a special privilege tax both items administered by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of the contract, pursuant to the requirements of Section 31-5-51 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. No BID may be withdrawn by the BIDDER within ninety (90) days after actual date of opening thereof.
