This project consists of a slide behind the house at 69 Little Mountain Drive in Littcarr, Ky in Knott County. The house has a large slide behind it and the front yard is breaking and in danger of sliding behind the neighbor's house below. The primary slide abatement planned consists of reinforced concrete walls behind the residence and pile & lagging walls in front of the house and above the access driveway. Filter fabric and class II stone will be placed behind the reinforced concrete walls and the pile & lagging wall along the driveway. The pile & lagging wall in front of the residence will be backfilled with dirt. Estimated Length of Project: (Substantial Completion) + 270 Calendar Days (Final Completion) All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business by the Kentucky Secretary of State and the Kentucky Department of Insurance within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served.
