Renovation of a municipal facility in Owatonna, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Owatonna City Hall was constructed in 1887. Originally the structure served as the Administration Building for the State School for Dependent and Neglected Children. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, the building is significant in the areas of Architecture, Education and Social Humanitarian. The building is 2 and _ stories tall. The exterior is clad with red brick and limestone. The building is occupied by city staff and is open to the public. The city is soliciting proposals for pointing and masonry rehabilitation for portions of the west and south elevations of the main building. Work includes replacement of cracked and broken brick, infill of mechanical vents, selective pointing of joints, replacement of sealant at the perimeter of windows and doors, selective replacement of damaged limestone, and selective masonry cleaning. The following scope of work is provided for reference. It is the contractor's responsibility to visit the site, familiarize themselves with the existing conditions and verify quantities for the work. Question Submission Deadline:June 27, 2025, 10:00am. The rehabilitation work is as indicated on the following scope of work and attachments. The contractor is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the site and building conditions prior to submitting the bid. The building will be occupied during the masonry rehabilitation. The contractor will coordinate their work to maintain building access by the public and staff. Maintain all exits required by code open during construction period, provide temporary exit and signage as required. A walkthrough will be held prior to starting the work to confirm the scope of work by project area. The walkthrough will be attended by the Contractor, Owner and Architect. Submit a construction schedule for the work to the Owner for approval prior to starting work. Review the progress schedule weekly with the Owner. The contractor is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly site. Dispose of demolition debris off site. Locate dumpsters as directed by the owner. Restore the site to its original condition after the work is complete. The contractor is to provide secure storage for their construction materials on the site. Work is to be completed in 2025. Provide proof of insurance and payment and performance bonds as outlined below. Submit cost proposal to the City of Owatonna's e Procurement Portal. Submit originals of bonds and insurance certificates as directed by the city after intent to award the contract is issued. Question Submission Deadline:June 27, 2025, 10:00am. All communications regarding technical, scope, and/or project related questions and requests for clarifications, changes, exceptions, and deviations to the terms and conditions set forth in this RFP shall be submitted via "Q&A" through the City's electronic bidding system, before the deadline and according to these specifications herein.
