2025 Road Improvement Project Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work must be completed prior to September 26, 2025. The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: 60 lb./SY 9.5 MM leveling course, 1 1/2 " bituminous overlay of 9.5 mm wearing course, 6' wide 1 1/2 " to 0" curb side milling, design and installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, 3" depth milling, 6" depth milling, 3" of 19 mm bituminous wearing course (fine graded), placement of 6" of 2A stone subbase, 2A stone shoulder back up, and incidental milling and sealing. The work location is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. All materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PADOT Publication 408 unless otherwise specified. Bidders must be either a PennDOT Pre-qualified Prime or PennDOT Pre-qualified Sub-Contractor for Work Class F. The Borough of Nesquehoning reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, and the right to waive any immaterial defects in the bidding process, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Borough.
