The scope of work for the project includes the removal of existing HVAC systems, and furnish and install new VRV system, including associated electrical upgrades and work. The replacement of the roof (by others) is to be coordinated with the VRV system project, and contractor to ensure a coordinated timeline and project. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, or bid bond executed by a surety company, in the amount of not less than (10) percent of the total amount of the proposal, conditioned that if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will enter into a contract for the work and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. All bids must meet the requirements of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and all other applicable federal, state, and local statutes. All contractors must comply with Wicks Law and submit a list of sub-contractors that they intend to use, along with the amount to be paid to each sub-contractor. Small and Minority Firms, Women's Business Enterprises, and Labor Surplus Area Firms. Consistent with federal mandates, the Village solicits bids from any and all parties including but not limited to small businesses, minority businesses and enterprises owned and conducted by women. The lowest qualified bidder meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents will be awarded the bid.
