Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Moses Lake, Washington. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The project involves the construction of a new, approximately 10,000-square-foot coroners office and morgue to serve Grant County. The space will include a two-bay autopsy suite, a full-body x-ray, a separate large-bore CT Scanner, a drive-through sallyport, freezers and coolers, staff space, a viewing room, and a family meeting room. Space will need to be designed and sited to allow for future flexibility. The project construction budget is approximately $4.5 million. We anticipate, with input from the selected General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM), that construction will begin as soon as possible. Design phase activities include involvement of General Contractor/Construction Manager to: (1) assist in development of schedules, cost estimates, value analysis, quality and phasing the work effort well before construction can start and provide added assurance that the project will be completed on time, and (2) be involved heavily in the design stage of the project to provide services to address constructability, sub-bid contracting strategies, and cost savings alternatives.
