Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rochester, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

21st Ave SW was originally constructed in the 1970's. The existing pavement will be removed and replaced with new asphalt pavement and new curb & gutter. Deficient sidewalk panels will be replaced and handicap ramps will be installed at the intersections. New sidewalk installation will be considered in locations where it currently does not exist. Sanitary and storm sewers will be inspected to determine any necessary repairs. The water and gas mains will be upgraded as needed by Austin Utilities. The estimated street reconstruction cost of the project is $700,000 and would be paid via an improvement bond issue. The project is scheduled for construction in 2025. As of June 16, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
