Site work for a water / sewer project in Mount Leonard, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Mount Leonard Tank requires a full blast and recoat of the tank exterior and interior. Work shall be done as specified in Sections 09910 and 13219 of the specifications. Additional work to include replacement of the roof vent and obstruction light photo cell, replacement or repair of the overflow screen, other minor repairs and replacements, and installation of a Tideflex mixing system. All repair work and welding, however, must be complete prior to recoating tank interior or exterior. Any other antenna accessories, including SCADA antennas and related wiring, cables, poles, base plates, and other facilities, that are on the tank shall be removed prior to recoating tank interior or exterior. Contractor will need to reinstall these facilities after the blasting and repainting of the tank. The telemetry antenna cables shall be adequately secured to the tank with proper brackets or standoffs as needed to prevent interference with climbing according to project specifications, MDNR requirements, and OSHA requirements. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract in any combination of base bid and alternate bids. This includes awarding one part of the bid and rejecting another or any combination thereof. Each BID must be accompanied by a BID bond payable to the OWNER for five percent of the total amount of the BID. A certified check may be used in lieu of a BID BOND. A performance BOND and a payment BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. BIDDER hereby agrees to commence WORK under this contract on or before a date to be specified in the NOTICE TO PROCEED and to fully complete the PROJECT as stipulated by the Project Schedule: Base Bid - Work shall be started no earlier than September 2, 2025, and shall be completed by October 31, 2025. Alternate Bid - Work shall be started no earlier than March 1, 2026, and shall be completed by June 15, 2026. . The number of calendar days shall be included in the NOTICE TO PROCEED. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in Section 15 of the General Conditions.
