In general, the work consists of: a 200-foot x 60-foot; (12,000 gross square foot), three-sided, agriculture utility building, constructed of pre-engineered post-and-footing, single-pitch wood truss-framed structure sheathed and roofed in prefinished steel panel. Provide electrical load panel, convenience outlets and building mounted site lighting. This new facility is being constructed due to a total loss event of the previous structure. Replacement of this structure will be supported by an insurance claim. Insurance adjusters will work with DFD and GPC to ensure adequate cost backup is provided and suitable records are available to support insurance settlements and disbursements. Following construction contracting, General Prime Contractor (GPC) will be required to provide a significant amount of detail in Schedule of Values supporting the breakdown of lump sum bid price provided. This project is being let using the single prime bidding and contracting process. DFD will publicly bid the applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) divisions of work first. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
