Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Verona, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Mark Drive Reconstruction - Phase 1 The work consists of the following items: Approximately 2,000 tons of asphalt pavement, 6,250 tons of base aggregate dense, removal and replacement of 4,800 lf of curb and gutter, 9,800 sf of concrete sidewalk and driveways, 985 lf of storm sewer varying between 12-inch to 24-inch, 2,300 lf of 12-inch water main, 6 hydrants, 1,850 lf of 8-inch sanitary sewer, and other supporting items. BID SECURITY: A bid bond or certified check, payable to the City of Verona, in the amount of 5% or more of the Bid shall accompany each Bid as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish 100% performance and payment bonds within 15 days after notice of award of the contract by the City. WAGE SCALE: Prevailing hourly wage rates are not required as Part of Wisconsin Act 55. CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTOR shall pay competitive wages for each classification of employee engaged in the work. BID REJECTION: The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous to the City's best interest BID WITHDRAWAL: All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for a period of 60 days after the time and date set for the opening thereof. Question Deadline 05/08/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
