Renovation of a museum in Round O, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Reconstruction/strengthening of historic Pon Pon Chapel masonry façade, construction of new steel bracing towers and truss to stabilize façade, and masonry repairs along perimeter of the ruins. Partial funding from the State of SC (admin. by SC Dept of Archives & History) allocated to Colleton County Historic and Preservation Society. Not required. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities Project Description: Project consists of: 1. Disassembly of 20th century masonry; 2. Reconstruction of front façade; 3. Support of front façade; 4. Miscellaneous masonry repairs at all 4 walls of structure; 5. Infill of circular windows to match original. F. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Questions from bidders must be submitted electronically via email to Andrea Cooper Williams (acooper@bennettpe.com) at Bennett Preservation Engineering PC by the end of the day on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
