The City of Moline is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform paver resetting along designated boulevard areas in high pedestrian traffic zones. The scope of work includes removal, base preparation, and resetting of pavers to address settling, heaving, and misalignment, using industry standard and best practice installation methods. Work Areas Base Bid (Primary Project Area) River Drive, both sides, as needed from the East end of 18th Street to 12th Street 15th Street, both sides, from River Drive to 4th Avenue Work in this area is shown in Orange on the attached Map A (Primary Project Map). Base bid will be lump sum for entire work area. Alternate Add-On Bids 1. 16th Street, both sides from 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue Shown in Orange on Map B 2. 17th Street, both sides from 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue Shown in Orange on Map C For alternate work, prices must be provided for both #1 and #2 areas. General Requirements . All work shall be performed in accordance with current industry best practices for interlocking paver systems, including base compaction, edge restraint, joint sanding, and surface leveling. . Contractors shall: o Remove and salvage existing pavers (unless otherwise directed by City). o Excavate and re-compact the subbase as needed. o Install new aggregate base and bedding sand to specification. o Reset existing pavers flush and even with adjacent grades and surfaces. o Replace damaged pavers with matching material where required. o Leave the site clean and free of hazards at the end of each work day.
