The City of Zillah is soliciting bids from qualified firms interested in providing material testing services for the following project:Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Set-aside funded project:Third Avenue Sidewalk Improvements. The project includes constructing 200 LF of new sidewalk on the north side of Third Avenue with ADA ramp upgrades, new illumination, and miscellaneous improvements. The total material testing cost is anticipated to be between$10,000 to $15,000. The project is anticipated to begin in August 2025 for a total of 16 working days. It is anticipated the contract type will be negotiated hourly rate. Scope of work will include material testing, and providing results of the testing, for crushed surfacing,concrete, and asphalt. Testing frequencies can be found in the project specifications and WSDOT Construction Manual.
