The Town of Weldon is seeking informal bids for repairs and improvements for two buildings located at 101 and 102 Washington Avenue in Weldon, NC. Project specifications are provided below. All work must meet all applicable building codes. Applicable permits will be the responsibility of the contractor. All measurements are estimates and it is the responsibility of the contractor to verify quantities for informal bids. All work and schedule must be coordinated with Project Manager. All inquiries concerning this informal bid process should be directed to: Connor Winstead, Town Administrator Town of Weldon cwinstead@historicweldonnc.com Phone: 252-536-4836 ANTICIPATED CONTRACT DATE: July 14, 2025 102 Washington Avenue (Flat Iron Building) o Remove existing roofing and replace with approximately 1,500 square feet of TPO membrane and insulation (see attached building sketch). o Flash all walls and penetrations with TPO membrane to seal and waterproof the areas where the roof meets other structures. o Replace windows in the building (Windows must be compatible with the historic appearance and character of the building). o 15 windows measuring 37.5 inches X 63 inches; o 2 windows measuring 42 inches by 42 inches; o 1 window measuring 107 inches by 58 inches o 2 windows measuring 107 inches by 71 inches o 1 window measuring 107 inches by 53 inches o 1 window measuring 107 inches by 50 inches o 2 windows measuring 55 inches by 39 inches o Prime and paint building, including trim, with two (2) coats of exterior enamel paint (color to be specified by Town). 101 Washington Avenue (Beside Town Hall) o Install insulation and TPO membrane over existing roof structure, approximately 2,641 SF. o Flash all walls and penetrations with TPO membrane to seal and waterproof the areas where the roof meets other structures. o Prime and paint trim with two (2) coats of exterior enamel paint (color to be specified by Town).
