**As of September 04, 2025, the project was awarded to Eau Gallie Electric, Inc, but the awarded amount is not available.** Public Works/Community Development Generator Replacement, 1500 Monroe St Fort Myers, FL 33901 Furnish; all necessary labor, services, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, transportation, skills and incidentals required for Lee County, Fort Myers, Florida. Question Deadline 7/23/2025 05:00 PM Questions regarding this solicitation are to be submitted electronically at online. Each Bidder shall examine the solicitation documents and shall judge all matters relating to the adequacy and accuracy of such documents. Any inquiries, suggestions or requests concerning interpretation, clarification or additional information pertaining to the solicitation shall be submitted in writing prior to 5:00 PM at least eight (8) calendar days prior to the date when the submission is due. Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified CONTRACTOR to provide a 250 kW emergency generator replacement service, including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, transportation, and expertise. This project is anticipated to be funded in whole or in part by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). As such, all work must strictly adhere to FEMA regulations, federal procurement requirements under 2 CFR Part 200, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Bidders must demonstrate their ability to comply with all grant conditions, including but not limited to cost eligibility, procurement integrity, documentation, record retention, and reporting as specified in the solicitation documents. Any contract awarded is contingent upon the availability of funding and approval by the appropriate governing authorities. 1.1. The CONTRACTOR shall complete the following work at the site as depicted on plans and described herein including, but not limited to: 1.1.1. Maintain site safety and minimize disruption to ongoing COUNTY operations. 1.1.2. Coordinate all work with COUNTY representatives and utility providers. 1.1.3. Dispose of all waste and debris in accordance with local regulations. 1.1.4. Provide all required submittals, documentation, and closeout materials as specified. 2. PROTECTION OF EXISTING UTILITIES 2.1. Locate, identify, and mark all on-site utility lines that must remain in operation during construction. 2.2. Submit safety procedures for utility protection. 2.3. Repair any utility damage caused during construction at the CONTRACTOR'S expense. 2.4. Record and map actual locations of existing and capped utilities encountered during work. 2.5. Notify all affected utility companies/agencies at least 72 hours before starting work and comply with their requirements. 2.6. Contact "Call Before You Dig" for official utility mark-out and do not begin earth disturbance before completion of this process. 2.7. Protect utilities with flags, barricades, or shoring as needed; prevent service interruptions unless authorized. SELECTIVE DEMOLITION 3.1. Demolish and remove selected portions of the building or structure as required for generator replacement. 3.2. Dispose of demolition waste off-site unless otherwise specified. 3.3. Conduct a pre-demolition conference to review site conditions, demolition schedule, and protection measures. 3.4. Submit proposed protection measures, demolition schedule, inventory of items to be salvaged, and pre-demolition photos or video. 3.5. Maintain utilities and fire protection systems that are to remain in service. 3.6. Comply with all regulatory requirements and safety standards (EPA, ANSI/ASSE A10.6, NFPA 241). 3.7. Remove construction only as required for new work, using methods that minimize damage to remaining structures. 3.8. Protect and, if necessary, temporarily relocate items that are to remain. 4. CONCRETE AND STRUCTUAL WORK 4.1. Form, reinforce, and pour new concrete as needed for generator foundation and associated structures. 4.2. Install structural steel framing, metal fabrications, railings, and gratings as specified. 5. THERMAL AND MOISTURE PROTECTION 5.1. Install joint sealants and any required waterproofing or weather protection measures. 6. FINISHES AND SPECIALTIES 6.1. Paint new and affected surfaces. 6.2. Install louvered hurricane equipment screens as needed 7. ELECTRICAL WORK 7.1. Install low-voltage power conductors, cables, grounding, bonding, conduits, boxes, identification, wiring connections, and devices. 7.2. Install new engine generator and transfer switches. 7.3. Install and test power circuit breakers, enclosed circuit breakers, and switches as specified. 7.4. Coordinate all electrical work with utility requirements and ensure proper operation upon completion. A. Locate, identify, and field mark out all on-site utility lines to remain in operation during construction. B. Submit procedures to be used to ensure the safety of the utility. C. Repair of any damage during construction operations. A pre-bid conference will be held in the location, date, and time specified on the cover of this solicitation.
